Mentions and citations provide broader discovery than a controlled live check. They search indexed answer data for a brand instead of running only the prompt you supply.

## Find answers that mention a brand [#find-answers-that-mention-a-brand]

The response includes the user question, answer text, cited sources, and other brands named in each result. The request costs 35 credits.

## Chart mention history [#chart-mention-history]

[`POST /v1/mentions/history`](/docs/api/mentions/getMentionsHistory) returns roughly 13 months of mention counts and the AI search volume behind them. Use it to see whether visibility is rising or falling. The request costs 35 credits.

## Find influential sources [#find-influential-sources]

[`POST /v1/citations`](/docs/api/citations/getCitations) returns the pages or domains most often cited in answers that mention the brand. Group by page when you need individual URLs; group by domain when you want a publisher-level view. The request costs 35 credits.

The citation response distinguishes two shares:

* `share` measures a source against the brand's complete citation corpus.
* `share_of_returned` measures it against only the sources returned in this response.
